Illustration Friday: Leap

I'm happy with the picture itself but not so much with the way the colours were scanned. Oh well.
Ink and watercolour.

Hi Pete, I've just discovered your blog and I LOVE your drawings! You've really captured the feeling of him about to jump in this one.

This is great :) (I know what you mean about scanning...I hate when it doesn't look like I want it to look when it's posted online!)Still, it's a great illo!

This is very nice...I LIKE YOUR STYLE.

RE: scanning - I had my scanner for 7 years, and I JUST NOW discovered that I can adjust it so that it picks up more of the subtle shades. Go into the scanner software and reduce the "contrast" a little at a time until it is scanning all of those shades you want it to. This really made a difference for me!

Nicely drawn and good pose. (Agree about scanning and colour, I am always disappointed with how my colours come out.)

Great drawing, perfect pose and expression. You have a terrific style, very fresh and loose line work.
I think we all understand how you feel abou scanning and colors, it can be so frustrating! I'm going to try Kate's advice though, in the future.
